E pelo caminho

O Castelo de Chillon (em francês: Château de Chillon) é um dos castelos da Suíça mais conhecidos em todo o mundo, além de ser o monumento suíço mais visitado e um dos mais bem preservados da Europa, estando classificado como monumento histórico. Situa-se numa das margens do Lago Léman, em Veytaux, a três quilómetros de Montreux. De forma oblonga, mede 110 metros de comprimento por 50 de largura, culminando com uma torre de menagem de 25 metros de altura. Foi construído sobre um rochedo, um ponto de protecção natural e estratégico para controlar a passagem entre o sul e o norte da Europa. De um lado, é uma magnífica residência à beira do lago e, do outro, uma imponente fortaleza em frente às montanhas.

O Jet d'Eau (46° 12′ N 6° 09′ E) é uma grande fonte em Genebra, na Suíça, acessível a partir do quai Gustave Ador . É um dos mais famosos marcos da cidade, sendo apresentado no site oficial de turismo da cidade na web e no logotipo oficial de Genebra de hospedagem de 2008 UEFA Championships. É também uma das maiores fontes do mundo. Situado na rade de Genebra, no ponto onde termina o lago de Genebra e recomeça o rio Ródano, é visível em toda a cidade e do ar, mesmo quando voando sobre Genebra a uma altitude de 10 quilómetros (33.000 pés).

O Torre de Molard é a personificação de uma força protetora guardando o antigo porto de Genebra.

A Capela dos Maccabees é a parte mais decorada e memorável da majestosa Catedral de São Pedro. Construída no início do século XV como a tumba de um cardeal, o local tem uma rica história que envolve a pólvora, o mundo académico e a música.

Pelos vistos é proibido cães a fazer cócó e, mais importante, cães salsicha...

The National Museum of History and Art (MNHA) @ Luxembourg

The National Museum of History and Art dedicates for the first time in Luxembourg an exhibition to one of the main representatives of American Abstract Expressionism. Hans Hofmann is one of the most important 20th century American modernist artists and art teachers. Born in 1880 in Weißenburg, Bavaria, Hofmann died in the United States in 1966. In his oeuvre, he combines the traditions of European modernist painting with influences from American postwar art, particularly abstract expressionism.

The National Museum of History and Art (MNHA) is honoured to present the exhibition Drama and Tenderness - Flemish, Spanish and Italian Art of the Baroque. An exceptional display of baroque art, it features works from the Royal Museum of Fine Arts in Antwerp that will be on loan until it will reopen its doors in 2019. Completed by works from two prestigious European private collections as well as the MNHA's own holdings, this rare ensemble of baroque masterpieces brings together Flemish artists such as Rubens, Van Dyck and Jordaens with Spanish and Italian masters including Murillo, Ribera or Zurbaran.

The exhibition will be accessible to the public from 10th November 2017 until the Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp will reopen its doors in 2019.

In relation to the evolution of lifestyles from the Renaissance to the 19th century, the MNHA has taken an original and transversal perspective on habitat and the applied arts in Luxembourg. Beautifully situated in old residencies of the 16th to the 20th centuries, the decorative arts and crafts section of the museum has been radically redesigned and modernised, and will reopen to the public in 2015. From the diversity of the pieces presented - furniture, clocks, ceramics, silverware - to the architectural setting itself, the tour highlights the complex relationship between the singularity of production in Luxembourg and its foreign influences.

O Bock (em luxemburguês: Bockfiels) é o nome pelo qual é conhecido um promontório no nordeste da Cidade de Luxemburgo, sendo a sua parte mais histórica. Oferecendo uma fortificação natural, com suas falésias rochosas torre acima do Rio Alzette que o circunda por três lados. Sendo este o local onde o Conde Siegfried das Ardenas construiu o seu castelo, chamado de Lucilinburhuc em 963, fornecendo, assim, a base do desenvolvimento que a cidade teria com o passar dos anos e se tornaria Luxemburgo.

A Catedral de Notre-Dame em Luxemburgo é a catedral católica da cidade de Luxemburgo, ao sul de Luxemburgo. Foi, originalmente, uma catedral jesuíta, e sua base foi construída em 1613.

Saint Michael's Church, Luxembourg - This church is the oldest extant religious site in Luxembourg City. The first church was built on the spot in 987 as the castle chapel for the Count of Luxembourg. However, over the following centuries, the building was destroyed, rebuilt, and renovated several times. Its current appearance dates to 1688, and unites Romanesque and Baroque architectural styles, pre-dating the national Moselle Baroque style. The building has been restored since then, preserving its original form; it has most recently been renovated in the 1960s, 1980s, and 2003–2004.
